CONCORD, N.H. - New Hampshire has recalled hundreds of bartending guides after complaints arose over drink names like "panty dropper" came to light.

The Concord Monitor initially reported that the New Hampshire Liquor Commission paid $3,300 for 500 copies of the "The Bartender's Black Book Tenth Edition" as a resource for retail store employees to answer consumer questions.

Workers started complaining in April about dozens of drink titles including "stripper mom" and "panty dropper."

In July, Gov. Maggie Hassan recalled the guides.

Commission spokesman E.J. Powers told the newspaper that the commission could have done a better job reviewing the guide.

The 78 state-run liquor stores accounted for $626 million in sales in 2014 and pumped $149 million in profits into the state's general fund.
