Lebanon man on adult trike killed on Spaulding

Staff Reports

ROCHESTER - A Lebanon man was killed on Thursday when the adult tricycle he was riding was struck by two vehicles as he tried to cross the Spaulding Turnpike in Rochester.

The accident occurred around 7 p.m. as Johnathan Fisk, 34, was crossing the roadway in the northbound lanes of traffic in the area of Exit 16, according to a New Hampshire State Police press release. The tricycle was hit while in the far left lane of travel first by a Chrysler Pacifica then by a Kia Rio5.

The operators of the Chrysler and Kia were transported to Frisbie Hospital as a precaution. The roadway was closed for a couple of hours during the investigation causing traffic to back up for a brief period of time before alternate routes were established to relieve the congestion.

The crash is still under investigation.

State Police in Epping, N.H., today were unable to confirm the exact location of the crash, but it is likely it was in the divided portion of the highway since the press release issued on Thursday night says Fisk was fatally struck in the far left lane of the northbound lanes of traffic.

State Police were unable to say when or if the press release would be updated.
