ROCHESTER - The countdown is on for the 8th Annual James W. Foley Freedom Run set for Oct 15 at the James W. Foley Community Center on Wakefield Street.

Running alongside the Rochester runners will be thousands who will join in virtually around the world.

All funds raised will go toward supporting the James W. Foley Legacy Foundation, in remembrance of Jim, a native of New Hampshire, and all Americans who have made the ultimate sacrifice to protect our freedoms.

The run comprises a traditional 5K Run/Walk held in Rochester, a 1.5 mile Run/Walk in Washington and a "Virtual" Run/Walk, held all over the world.

The James W. Foley Legacy Foundation is dedicated to advocating for the freedom of all Americans held hostage abroad and promote the safety of journalists worldwide.
