ROCHESTER - The inaugural Miss Granite State Pageant went off beautifully on Sunday at the Granite State Fair, with 15-year-old Caylee Allen taking home Teen Miss Granite State. The event, held in the fair's Exhibition Hall, also saw Kylee McKenna, 6, win the Little Miss Granite State crown and Irelyn Pagliuca, 10, taking top honors in the Junior Miss Granite State division.
In addition, Miss Photogenic went to Adelaide McArthur, while Allen won Miss Congeniality, which was chosen by the contestants. All contestants competed in interview, talent and evening gown, while several also competed in the Miss Photogenic Optional category. Pageant Director Jaime Hebert said she was pleased with the turnout, which saw eight competitors in all, after the pandemic forced cancellation of the former Miss Rochester Fair pageant last year. She said she hoped to add a fourth age division next year.
