CONCORD - A Strafford County resident was among three new COVID-related deaths announced by DHHS officials on Wednesday.
The death of the man, whose hometown was not released but was said to be under the age of 60, brings the total number of New Hampshire residents who have succumbed to the virus to 1,420.
DHHS also announced 372 new positive test results for COVID-19 including 63 minors and 22 from Strafford County.
The two other Granite Staters who died are from men from Carroll and Cheshire counties, both over 60.
There are currently 112 individuals hospitalized with COVID-19 statewide, seven more than a week ago and 35 more than on Aug. 18.
Meanwhile, while releasing no hard numbers, Frisbie Memorial Hospital spokesperson Michelle Landry confirmed the hospital continues to see an increase in COVID patients, including in their Intensive Care Unit.
"Frisbie Memorial Hospital has seen an increase in COVID-19 patients in the past few weeks, similar to what other hospitals are seeing in the Greater Seacoast area," Landry told The Rochester Voice on Tuesday. "On a regular basis, there is a continual flow of patients admitted and discharged from the ICU."
