Historic District Commission seeks to fill vacant seats

ROCHESTER - The Rochester Historic District Commission is seeking new members to fill vacancies on the committee. According to Chairperson Molly Meulenbroek, joining the commission provides an opportunity for meaningful and direct involvement in the ongoing revitalization and redevelopment of downtown Rochester. "Participating in local government as a volunteer is a rewarding way to support our community," said Meulenbroek. The HDC consists of seven members and up to five alternate members. Two regular members and two alternate members are designated for a member of the City Council and a member of the Planning Board. All members except for the Planning Board member are appointed by the City Council. Members are appointed for terms of three years.
