Here's a good NYE resolution for mayor, city manager: end the dishonesty

To the editor:
As an often critic of tyranny, I have patiently tried over and over to inform our city fathers of their oppressive behavior. Remember the proposed new Zoning Ordinance brought forward after approximately nine years of meetings with NO MINUTES!I WE-THE PEOPLE- made them do it over and do it right!
How about all the official opposition to our TAX CAP when moving forward for its adoption. We got it anyway but it certainly could have been an easier process than it turned out to be if it wasn't fought all the way.
And most recently, I have heard that a city policy that brought out concerns at state level was happening in Rochester and was going to be discussed in a meeting. I wanted to go as an observer. I was informed that if I showed up, there would be no meeting!
A state representative, elected to represent the people of Rochester, denied information from the source. I would ask them why, but they have a record of 'no comment' and to try to get an answer from this crew would only be a waste of my precious time, something once spent, I could never get back.
Unlike the city fathers who take criticism as hateful, I hold no animosity toward it or them, but will continue to attempt to get them to be more open and transparent and less tyrannical. If they want better from me, then treat constructive criticism with the respect it deserves. Possibly then they can avoid the harsh, but deserving criticism from the ACLU and others ,including letters like this.
See, all this was done up till now without mentioning the City Manager or Mayor by name.
Happy Holidays and hoping the new year brings a change in behavior at upper city level in the way they treat the people of Rochester, our state representatives and the fourth estate.
