Gyms could be the next place to flex state's partial reopening strategy

CONCORD - Gyms and outdoor attractions like Lost River in Woodstock could be next on the list for potential reopening to the public.

The governor's Reopening Task Force heard presentations from groups advocating for the opening on Tuesday, but it's not likely the governor will decide whether to move on them or not till next week, staff from his office said.

Meanwhile, state DHHS officials on Tuesday announced 81 new COVID-19 cases, only one of whom was hospitalized.

Of those with complete information, there are five individuals under the age of 18. The new cases reside in Hillsborough County other than Manchester and Nashua (28), Rockingham (14), Merrimack (9), Belknap (1), Cheshire (1), and Strafford (1) counties, and in the cities of Manchester (18) and Nashua (9).

DHHS also announced nine additional deaths, all of whom were 60 or older. They included three men and three women from Hillsborough County, a woman and a man from Rockingham County and a man from Merrimack County.

In all five New Hampshire residents under the age of 60 have died from the coronavirus

Meanwhile in Maine, Coronavirus cases rose to 1,515 with 204 hospitalizations and 56 deaths.
