Free summer meals program for youth up and running

ROCHESTER - Multiple locations throughout Rochester will open their doors this summer to provide free breakfast and lunch to children in need.
Children of all ages, from infants to age 18 are welcome to visit one of five locations in Rochester for free breakfasts and lunches each week this summer. Meal service began on June 25 and will be offered Monday through Friday through mid-August.
From now until Aug. 17 - with the exception of July 4 - free breakfast and lunch will be available weekdays through Community Action Partnership of Strafford County, with the assistance of the federal Summer Food Service Program, at the following locations and times:
Cold Springs Manor, 31 Emerson Ave.
Breakfast: 8:30-9 a.m.
Lunch: 12:45-1:15 p.m.
Spaulding High School Cafeteria, 130 Wakefield St.
Breakfast: 8:30- 9:30 a.m.
Lunch: 12-1 p.m.
Salmon Falls Estates, Route 202
Breakfast: 7:45-8:15 a.m.
Lunch: 12-12:30 p.m.
East Rochester Annex, 5 Cocheco Ave.
Breakfast: 9-9:30 a.m.
Lunch: 12:30-1 p.m.
School Street School, 13 School St.
Breakfast: 8:30-9 a.m.
Lunch: 12-12:30 p.m.
The Summer Food Service Program is funded by the USDA in order to help youth who do not have access to the free or reduced price meals they rely upon during the school year.
