Forum aimed at teen intervention on risky behaviors April 16

ROCHESTER - A Rochester Family Forum will be held on April 16 from 9 a.m.-noon at the Rochester Middle School at 47 Brock St.

The event is geared toward parents of school-aged children with a focus on intervention and prevention with regard to drug use and other risky behaviors.

The keynote speaker will be Melissa Fernald of Sinfonia Family Services of New Hampshire.

After a short speech there will be several different breakout sessions, including Youth Homelessness, Talking to your kids about Drug Use, Coping with Anxiety and several others.

Different organizations will also have informational booths.

There will be coffee and snacks, and the public is invited.

The forum is being sponsored by the Rochester School Department Safe Schools/ Healthy Students grant and Bridging the Gaps coalition.
