ROCHESTER - The eighth annual James W. Foley Freedom Run is scheduled for Oct. 15 at the James W. Foley Community Center.

Globally, runners will once again participate in this one-of-a-kind road race to support the James W. Foley Legacy Foundation, in remembrance of Jim, a native of New Hampshire, and all Americans who have made the ultimate sacrifice to protect our freedoms.

Now in its 8th year, the James W. Foley Freedom Run consists of a traditional 5K Run/Walk held in Rochester, a 1.5 mile Run/Walk in Washington, and a "Virtual" Run/Walk, held all over the world!

The James W. Foley Legacy Foundation advocates for the freedom of all Americans held hostage abroad and promote the safety of journalists worldwide.
