Fast moving storm could pack a quick wallop, up to a foot of snow

A fast-moving WINTER storm could dump 3-6 inches in the Greater Rochester area this afternoon and tonight.

According to Accuweather, the snow is expected to start within minutes of this posting and not let up till Sunday around 7 a.m. There is a slight chance snowfall totals could reach near a foot.

Temperatures will remain below freezing during the storm but rebound on Sunday into the high 30s.

The back end of the storm will feature strengthening northwesterly winds, freezing rain and icing conditions, which could lead to power outages in some spots.
