ROCHESTER - A Farmington man was arrested for DUI on Monday afternoon after police say he drove his pickup truck into a residence on Charles Street.
Rochester Police responded to the area of the Sunoco gas station at 29 Charles St. around 3:20 p.m.for a report of a vehicle into a building.

When they got there they found a 1999 Dodge Dakota pickup truck into a structure. Police say it appeared the truck struck the residence and continued through the fence before coming to a stop. The house sustained substantial damage, officials said.

The driver, Roland Hill, 67, of 29 Colonial Circle, Farmington, was transported to Portsmouth Regional Hospital with what were described as nonlife threatening injuries.

A witness posted on Facebook that he was getting gas at (the gas station) and (the driver) slammed off the side of his building and backed up and hit it again off the ice cooler. He said the driver then floored it across the street and hit the house.

No one inside the residence was injured.

Hill was charged with aggravated driving under the influence (with injury) and will be arraigned in Strafford Superior Court at a later date.

It's the second time in less than three weeks that a driver has been arrested for DUI after ramming their vehicle into a building. On July 17 a vehicle crashed into the Town Fair Tire Shop on North Main Street. That driver also got a DUI.
