ROCHESTER - Eleanor Ruth Perkins, 74, died Monday, December 1, 2014, at Colonial Hill Health and Rehabilitation Center in Rochester after a period of failing health.
Eleanor was born in Rochester, on March 18, 1940, the daughter of Stephen and Pauline (Lewis) Jacques and lived in Rochester for most of her life. Before her retirement she worked for 26 years as a secretary at the McClullan School in Rochester where she was the former treasurer for the PTO. She was also a former treasurer for the Strafford County Homemakers Auxiliary and former secretary for the Rochester Girls Softball league. She was predeceased by her husband Robert Perkins who died in 1993 and by a grandchild.
Surviving members of the family include: three sons, Robert Perkins and his wife Kim of Rochester, Marc Perkins of Rochester and Douglas Perkins and his wife Kathryn of New Durham, three daughters, Cindy Nolan of Port St. Lucie, Fla., Melissa Dockstader and her husband James of Rochester, and Mindy Hussey and her husband Fred of Rochester. She also leaves twelve grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
