Drug task force makes heroin trafficking arrest

DOVER, N.H. - A Portsmouth man drug task force agents say was selling street level quantities of heroin in the city of Dover was arraigned on Thursday and remains behind bars at the Strafford County jail on $20,000 cash bail.

Abdul Rodriguez, 35, of 1 Beach Stone Apartments #5, was charged with two felony counts of the sale of the controlled drug.

Rodriguez was arraigned on Wednesday on a Strafford County Drug Task Force warrant during a coordinated motor vehicle traffic stop in the area of Belknap Street by Dover Police patrol units.

The arrest was made after several months of investigation by the Strafford County Drug Task Force, the Dover Police Department, and assistance from Portsmouth Police Department. During that time, Rodriguez sold street level quantities of heroin in Dover, according to a task force press release.
