ROCHESTER - Moe's Italian Sandwiches is back in business and downtown lunchgoers are eating it up.
The longstanding North Street sub shop reopened on Wednesday after an October electrical fire closed them down for several months.
One of their initial Facebook posts announcing their reopening grabbed 222 likes or loves and 23 comments.
The owners were not unmoved by the reception they got Wednesday.
"Thank you for not forgetting us!" said owners Angela Labrie and Shawn Hooper on the eateries' Facebook page. "We had a PHENOMENAL 1st DAY!! WE LOVE OUR CUSTOMERS!"
Scott Voegtin, an employee at one downtown business, said "a handful of us are working in the office today, so that we can order Moe's for lunch."
"Can't wait, I will be there tomorrow," echoed Serena Smith.
Some of the specials today are honoring "soup season" with haddock chowder, chili and mac and cheese all on the menu.
They open today at 10:30 a.m.
