Dover man among injured in four-car crash on Route 16 in Milton

MILTON - Two motorists were injured in a four-car crash on Route 16 in Milton on Thursday.

Police say the crash occurred around 3:25 p.m. between exits 16 and 17 when a 2018 Dodge pickup driven by Eric Atamansky, 19, of Springfield, Mass., was headed north and rear-ended a 2011 Ford Escape, also traveling north that was driven by Todd Sweet, 49, of Dover.

The Escape then struck a 2015 Jeep Wrangler driven by Timothy Stallings, 18, of Boston. The Jeep then struck a 2016 Subaru driven by Jonathan Boske, 46, of Medway, Mass.

Sweet was transported to Frisbie Memorial Hospital in Rochester with what were described as nonlife threatening injuries. Emma Bernasconi, 18, of Braintree, Mass. a passenger in the Jeep, was also transported to Frisbie with what were described as nonlife threatening injuries.

The Spaulding Turnpike was closed in the area of the collision for about 2½ hours while troopers investigated.

Troopers from New Hampshire State Police Troop A were assisted at the scene by members of Troop G, the Milton Police and Fire Departments, the Rochester Police and Fire Departments, and the New Hampshire Department of Transportation.
