ROCHESTER - Donald G. Yeaton, 81, died Thursday, June 12, 2014 at the Hyder Family Hospice House in Dover, surrounded by his loving family, after a period of failing health.

Don was born in Rochester, on January 15, 1933, the son of Harry and Irene (Foster) Yeaton and was a lifelong resident of Rochester. He was a Navy Veteran and before his retirement worked as a supervisor for the NH Department of Transportation. He was a lifetime member of the NRA, was a renowned hunter, loved fishing and tying his own flies while gently releasing all catches, enjoyed coin, gun, antique tool and ax collecting, as well as blacksmithing and stone masonry.

He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Doretta (Winkley) Yeaton of Rochester, his two sons, Alan Yeaton of Daytona Beach, Fla. and Scott Yeaton of Strafford, and his daughter, Cheri Fisher of Freedom, seven grandchildren, five great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was predeceased by his two brothers, Harold and Everett Yeaton.
