Death of man found inside homeless shelter appears drug related, police say

DOVER - Dover Police say they are investigating the Wednesday death of a 23-year-old man at the The Garrison Hotel, which is now serving as an area emergency winter shelter for the homeless. Dover Police and Fire responded to the shelter around 4:15 p.m. for a report of an unresponsive male, and after an investigations reported the man's death appears to be drug-related. The exact cause will be determined by the state Medical Examiner's Office. The shelter and hotel are located at 200 Sterling Way.
