Death of Boston man found in ocean near Isle of Shoals remains a mystery

RYE - The death of a Boston man found flating in the ocean near the Isles of Shoals is being investigated by New Hampshire State Police and Marine Patrol.

The man's body was discovered on July 13 after safety officials responded to reports of a body in the ocean. Upon arrival, Marine Patrol Officers located and recovered the remains of an unidentified individual, believed to be male.

With assistance from the NHSP Major Crime Unit and the New Hampshire Medical Examiner's Office, the deceased man has been identified as David Paul Stover Shader, 35.

Investigation has yet to fully determine the details of Shader's entry into the water. He was last seen in the Boston area, and his death is not believed to be suspicious, police say.
