Current COVID-19 caseload cut in half in past month

CONCORD - The statewide number of current COVID-19 cases has plummeted in recent weeks, down by half what it was just a month ago. On July 17 the current case number was 582; on Monday it was down to 279. Meanwhile DHHS announced 16 new positive test results for COVID-19, including two under the age of 18. One new hospitalized case was identified for a current total statewide of 15. Locally, numbers changed slightly with Dover now at five, down one from Sunday, while Rochester, Somersworth, Barrington and Strafford remain at 1-4. Milton and Farmington currently have none.
