DOVER - Two Strafford County Superior Court security officers were honored today for their life-saving efforts when a victim of a suspected drug overdose was found in the parking lot of the Dover courthouse earlier this month.

On April 9 around 3:20 p.m. Court Security Officers Zachary Ellis and Tyler Stebbins were performing security checks at the front door of the courthouse when they were notified there was a male subject unresponsive within a parked vehicle at the courthouse.

After Stebbins and Ellis tried to revive the subject and were unable to, they administered at least two doses of Naloxone to the man and were able to revive him. He was subsequently transported via ambulance to Wentworth Douglas Hospital.

The Rochester Voice published a story detailing their heroics on April 19. The article can be viewed at http://www.therochestervoice.com/life-saving-efforts-of-court-officers-who-aided-overdose-victim-recognized-cms-9934.
