Connecticut man arrested in Maine double homicide

AUGUSTA, Maine - A New York man was arrested on Friday in a double homicide that occurred in Auburn last month.
David Barnett, 34, aka Slim, of Bristol, Conn., was arrested in Rockland, Md., on a warrant for murder for the alleged June 6 killing of Kelzie Caron and Pierre Langlois, both 21 and of Connecticut, at 49 Fourth St in Auburn, according to a press release from Maine Dept. of Safety spokesperson Shannon Moss.
Barnett, who was taken into custody without incident near an apartment complex in Rockland, also has a nationwide warrant out of New York for probation revocation on a prior robbery charge.
Barnett will be held at the Montgomery County Jail pending extradition to Maine.
Maine State Police and Auburn Police Detectives have been building this case with their interstate partners at the local, state, and federal levels in Massachusetts, Connecticut, New York, and Maryland, Moss noted.

No other details about the killings have been released.
