ROCHESTER - Due to a staffing shortage, COAST was forced to implement temporary service suspensions for public transit. One suspension included a portion of Route 14 on the Spaulding Turnpike, between Portsmouth and NHDOT Park & Ride (near Exit 13) in Rochester.

The portion of Route 14 operating within Rochester, on Washington Street (between downtown and the NHDOT Park & Ride) remains in operation both outbound and inbound.

In downtown, connections and transfers can be made via COAST Routes 6 and 12 to travel further within Rochester, or out of Rochester to the North (to Farmington on NH 11) or South (to Somersworth/Dover on NH 108).

According to COAST Executive Director Rad C. Nichols, COAST is piloting a new 'Free Transfer Program' for the first 6 months of 2022. The program aims to reduce the cost of transferring between Routes 6 and 12/14 in Rochester.
