ROCHESTER - A Rochester man is facing several charges after he left the scene of a motor vehicle accident on Sunday that involved injury to a dog and later interfered with police who were investigating the incident. Thomas Patrick Baker, 69, "failed to provide his information to the other people involved in the crash and left the scene," Rochester Police Capt. Jeremy Aucoin said on Thursday. While at the accident scene, Baker also shouted "obscene and offensive words at people while posturing to fight," according to police. Baker was also charged with failure to report injury to a dog or cat. To make matters worse, Baker allegedly failed to provide information to officers who were investigating the incident and then "hid to interfere with the investigation," Aucoin noted.
In all, Baker was charged with conduct after an accident, report of injury to dog or cat, obstructing government administration and disorderly conduct. All of the charges are misdemeanors.
