ROCHESTER - A Rochester man was arrested on Tuesday morning after police say he left the scene of a motor vehicle accident on Brock Street then went for breakfast at a downtown eatery.

The incident began when a caller reported they had been involved in an accident on Brock Street at 7:25 a.m. They said the other car sped off so they followed it to Benedict's Grill on Rochester Hill Road and waited in the parking lot for police.

When an officer arrived they made contact with the driver of a Chevrolet Tahoe said to have been involved in the crash and conducted a field sobriety test.

Subsequently James Bowen, 38, of Cedarbrook Village, Apt. D, was arrested and charged with DUI, driving after revocation or suspension and conduct after an accident, all misdemeanors.
