DOVER - A 51-year-old Rochester man is facing up 40 years in jail and $600,000 in fines after his indictment on fentanyl trafficking charges by a Strafford County grand jury. The recent indictment accuses Brian Elliott, of 34 Academy St., of selling between one and five grams of the deadly drug to a confidential informant in Rochester on two separate occasion in November and December of 2018. According to the indictment, the informant was paid $225 for each buy. The Acts Prohibited felony charge that applies allows for a prison stay of up 10-20 years and a maximum fine of $300,000 on each count. An indictment is not an indication of guilt, rather that enough evidence has been presented to warrant moving forward to trial.
