ROCHESTER - Charles H. "Red" Roy, formerly of Lebanon, Maine, died on Dec. 2, 2021 at the Studley Home in Rochester after a period of failing health. He was born Feb. 22, 1929 in Springvale, "Red" served in the Air Force during the Korean War as a First Lieutenant and in the National Guard as a pilot. He was a member of the Elks Lodge #1393, the American Legion Post #7 and the Hackle Tackle Club. Charles enjoyed the outdoors; hunting and fishing. He especially liked playing cards with his wife Phyllis. Members of his family include his wife of 63 years, Phyllis (Hamilton) Roy; sons, Stephen and wife Donna Roy of Milton, Mark Roy of Yarmouth, Maine; grandchildren, Stephen Roy, Jr of Alaska, Stephanie (Roy and husband Cyrus) Esmaeili of Florida; sister, Janice Demeritt of Rochester, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Kenneth Roy and sister, Betty Hussey.
