Charges may be upgraded now that victim in Rochester shooting has died

ROCHESTER - The suspect in the shooting at the Winter Street Professional Arts Building earlier this month was transported to New Hampshire from North Carolina on Thursday.
Haydee Rivera-Nadeau, 65, will face charges of first and second degree assault, and attempted second degree murder.
Those charges may be upgraded now that the victim, 50-year-old Lisa Stanley Rocheleau of Rochester, has died, according to a Gofundme page, which stated she was finally happy after recently "working up the courage to leave a toxic relationship."

Rochester Police Public Information Officer Andrew Swanberry said that Rivera-Nadeau will be arraigned today on the attempted murder charges that were already contained in the complaint. He said he couldn't comment further as the investigation is ongoing.
The Gofundme page, up for just 19 hours, has taken in $10,865 as of this publication.
Meanwhile, Rivera-Nadeau is being held at Strafford County Jail.
The shooting occurred on May 1 around 11:45 a.m. drawing Rochester Police, Rochester Fire and Frisbie EMS to 40 Winter St. where they found a woman with a bullet wound to the head.
Paramedics from Frisbie Memorial Hospital, along with assistance from Rochester Fire personnel initially stabilized the victim on scene. Frisbie Ambulance then transported her to Portsmouth Regional Hospital for trauma care.
The Rochester Police Investigative Services Bureau quickly identified a female suspect early in the investigation. As a result, of the ongoing investigation, arrest warrants for Rivera-Nadeau age 65 of Somersworth, were obtained.
On May 3, around 6:50 p.m. Rochester Police Detectives were following up with information on the suspect possibly being in Charlotte Mecklenburg, N.C.
Rochester Police Detectives contacted the Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department to request their assistance in following up on the lead. Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department were ultimately able to make contact with the suspect who was taken into custody without incident and charged with being a Fugitive from Justice.
The investigation remain active at this time by the Rochester Police Department Investigative Services Bureau, with assistance from the Strafford County Attorney's Office and NH Attorney General's Office.
