Catch 'n' release: Child porn suspect skips court, gets arrested, put back on street

DOVER - The child porn suspect taken into custody by a U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force on Thursday is back on the street this morning after being released by a judge on personal recognizance with no bail or bond.
Jeremy Towle, 24, with a last known address of Dewey Street, Rochester, who was a no-show for his arraignment earlier this month, was indicted in February on four counts of possession of child sex abuse images, including one of a minor male having coitus on a prepubescent girl.
According to a U.S. Marshall's press release sent on Thursday, Towle had previously lived in Manchester. The task force tracked him down at a Columbus Avenue residence in Dover.
Prosecutor Katelyn Elizabeth Henmueller told The Rochester Voice today that Towle's bail conditions include that he refrain from excessive use of alcohol, sign a waiver of extradition, possess no weapons or dangerous devices and stay off SnapChat.
Each count carries a three and a half to seven year prison sentence.
The alleged offenses occurred between 2018 and 2020, according to court documents.
A trial is set for November.
