DOVER - C&J Bus recently announced they will begin charging for parking at their Seacoast terminals in Portsmouth and Dover with a daily fee of $4 per vehicle.

The move is aimed at managing overcrowding and ensuring better access for bus riders, according to C&J officials.

The change comes as a result of a new lease agreement with the state requiring the bus company &J to cover maintenance costs at their lots.
The C&J parking lot in Seabrook is already a paid lot.

C&J cited issues like overcrowding, misuse of parking spaces, and the need to fund terminal upgrades as reasons for implementing the paid parking system.
The change became effective last month.
