He was the youngest of 7 children and is predeceased by his 3 brothers David, Blair, and Jack and survived by his three sisters Shirley, Eleanor, and Izella. He attended DeVry Technical College in Toronto, Ontario and had a decade's long career as a technical writer for corporations such as Honeywell and Raytheon.
His first marriage to Marie White lasted 14 years and produced 7 children: Bruce S. Bruce enjoyed sharing his faith with others, even throughout his last days as he was attended by hospital and hospice caregivers.
Those who knew him, knew that he had a passion for the land and organic gardening. Having grown up on a farm, it was his first and lasting love. In his retirement he had the blessing of once again living on a farm in Lebanon and blessed many people with the fruits of his land which he freely shared with those he knew.
