BOOTHBAY HARBOR, Maine - There are plenty of delicious breakfast joints up in Boothbay Harbor, but the one you don't want to miss is Waves,

It's located on Commercial Street right across from the Balmy Days excursion boat docks near the Fisherman's Wharf Inn.

The first thing you notice when you walk into this quaint little eatery is the warm look of wood in its booth seating.

A front table view lets you look right out at the boats and the bustling docks while you wait for you breakfast.

A couple of eggs over easy with home fries, sausage and toast will cost you $10, but it's more than worth it.

My eggs were cooked perfectly not too runny, not too hard, and the home fries were absolutely delicious.

Our waitress gave up the secret without a second look: they boil them first than right into the deep fryer. And you get plenty of breakfast meat, too.

They also have a hearty selection of omelets, eggs benedict and pancakes or french toast with their own special homemade syrup. Don't forget to try one of their delicious mimosas.

Be ready for wait staff with that Boothbay Harbor hospitality, too.
