ROCHESTER - The Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting on Friday for Back Hill Beer Company in Gonic to celebrate its one-year anniversary with owner Peter LaPlante.

"We faced some intense challenges in our first year, but they were outshined by the overwhelming support of our amazing customers in Gonic, Rochester, and beyond," LaPlante said. "We are so thankful for everyone's support and are excited for the year ahead."

The microbrewery is located in the Gonic Mill and open Thursday and Friday from 3-9 p.m., Saturday noon-9 p.m. and Sunday 1-7 p.m.
