ROCHESTER - One arrest has been made and another arrest warrant is filed in the theft of cookie money stolen from a group of Girl Scouts selling the sweet confections outside the Rochester Walgreen's on Friday.

Kayla Lonergan, 19, of Common Street, Rochester, was taken into custody around 4:45 p.m. on Sunday by Rochester Police.

Lonergan was charged with misdemeanor level contempt of court for violating the conditions of her release from a prior arrest, violation level driving after suspension and misdemeanor level criminal liability for the conduct of another. She is currently being held at the Strafford County Jail on $7,500 cash bail with an arraignment later today in the 7th Circuit Court of Rochester.

Rochester Police also hold a misdemeanor theft warrant for Pierre Thibault, 20, of 127 Winter St., Haverhill, Mass., for his alleged role in the incident.

Police say the theft occurred around 6:45 p.m. on Friday when a male suspect grabbed the cash box from the South Main Street store and ran to a waiting vehicle with two occupants inside located in the store parking lot.

The vehicle was described as a green Toyota Camry with New Jersey plates. The vehicle was last seen heading up Winter Street away from town.

A short time later officers responded to the area of Winter Street and Adams Avenue for a report of the suspect vehicle being located with the possible suspects inside, but prior to their arrival, the occupants had fled on foot after pulling into a driveway.

A K-9 search of the area turned up nothing.

The amount of cash in the cookie money box has not been disclosed.

Rochester Police released no information about a possible third suspect.
