Rochester Police urge E-bike riders to follow same rules as pedal bikes

ROCHESTER - The Rochester Police Department is reaching out to E-bike riders to remind them that electric bicycles (e-bikes) are subject to New Hampshire law and encourage them to understand the rules before heading out.
Under New Hampshire law, electric bicycles are treated the same as traditional bicycles. As a result, riders are not required to have a driver’s license, register their e-bike, or carry insurance. However, e-bike riders are required to follow the same rules...
