One dead, five injured in head-on collision in Coos County

COLUMBIA – One person is deceased and five others remain hospitalized after a head-on collision in Coös County.
The crash occurred around 9 p.m. Friday on Route 3.
The preliminary investigation has determined that a 2021 Chevrolet Silverado was traveling southbound and a 2012 Chevrolet Camaro was driving northbound on Route 3 when, for reasons that remain under investigation, the Camaro crossed the centerline and struck the Silverado head-on, causing severe damage.
