Acton woman injured in afternoon collision on Rt. 202

LEBANON - An Acton woman was injured on Tuesday when her SUV collided with a van at the entrance to a Lebanon used car dealership and detail center on Route 202.

The accident occurred a little after 2 p.m. at the entrance to Wheels and Deals Auto at 1194 Carl Broggi Hwy. when the van began to enter the dealership and the driver of the eastbound Kia SUV tried to avoid it by going around it on the right side, only to hit a parked 2005 Mustang the dealer had on display in his parking lot.

The Kia then traveled down into a gully and came to rest at the bottom.

The woman was treated by Lebanon Fire and EMS and taken to Southern Maine Medical Center in Sanford for treatment, Maine State Trooper Kyle Wells said.

Her injuries were considered minor.

The driver of the van, a Ford Aerostar that took damage to the right front quarter panel, was able to drive the vehicle from the scene.

The parked Mustang on display, however, took some heavy front-end damage.
