14 COVID deaths reported; hospitalizations continue spike

CONCORD - DHHS announced 695 new positive test results for COVID-19 for a daily PCR test positivity rate of 5.2 percent.

Included in the results reported today are cases identified as far back as Dec, 3.

Of those with complete information, there are 63 minors and 38 from Strafford County.

Current area virus cases counts show Dover the current county hot spot with 136, 89 in Rochester, 48 in Somersworth, Barrington with 14, Strafford with 16, Farmington with 15 and Milton with 13.

DHHS also announced 14 deaths related to COVID-19, none from Strafford County. Of the new deaths one was less than 60, a man from Belknap County.

There are currently 248 individuals hospitalized with COVID-19, yet another pandemic high in the state.
