Henry A Audet ... enjoyed dancing; at 88

ROCHESTER - Henry A Audet, 88, of Rochester, died passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving wife and family.

Born on Oct. 24,1936, in Concord, Henry was the beloved son of Pearl Marie (Daigle) Audet and Sauveur Audet.



A proud graduate of St. John's high school in Concord class of 1954, he went on to serve in the Air Force for eight years. Following his military service, he dedicated 31 years as a UPS delivery driver before his retirement.
Henry had 3 loves in his life: the Lord, his wife and family. Henry was a staple in his neighborhood and so loved. In his younger days he played football and basketball with the kids in the neighborhood, introduced them to church, fishing derbies and shared life lessons on how to be a good human being.
When retired he continued to give back to his community helping elderly out in the neighborhood with yard chores they could no longer do and visits for companionship. He also volunteered at Gerry's food pantry and worked at the local soup kitchen. Henry was a cherished individual known for his kind, loving, caring and humorous personality. He was a generous soul, always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need despite whether he knew you or not. Henry had an infectious energy about him, his radiant smile lit up any room he walked into, and he loved to crack jokes. Henry had a love for the outdoors and could often be found fishing, hunting, camping, hiking, and golfing. However, Dancing with his beloved wife Marilyn was his number 1 favorite pastime filling him with joy! He was an active member of the Rochester Elks where he enjoyed the camaraderie of friends, community and playing pool.
Henry was a devoted father and grandfather. He was beyond proud of his family, making each and every one of them feel special and loved.

Henry is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Marilyn (Nelson) Audet, and their three children, Henry J. Audet and his wife Jennifer of Naples. Fla: Anne Marie Noonan and her husband Timothy Noonan of Rochester, and Heather Reynolds and her husband Richard of Rochester. Henry is survived by his sister Jeanette Lamarre and her husband James of Velrico, Fla, his eight grandchildren, Jocelyn, Timothy Jr, Adam, Jesse, Matthew Olivia, Megan, and Tyler his nine great grandchildren, 1 great granddaughter and many nieces and nephews.

Henry is predeceased by his son Andrew S. Audet, his sister Yvette Crutchfield and sister Jeanne Wilson.
