ROCHESTER - Walter T. Lefavour, 90, of Seneca Drive in Rochester, died April 10, 2014, at his home, after a brief illness.

Born March 13, 1924 in Rochester, the oldest son of Ernest E. and Harriet (Thayer) Lefavour, he resided for most of his life in Farmington. He was a graduate of Farmington High School and the University of New Hampshire.

Following his service during World War II with the United States Navy, he and his wife Virginia (Gray) Lefavour operated the Virginia Lee Shoppes in Farmington, Rochester, Somersworth and Dover, for 30 years.

Predeceased by his wife Virginia, his brother Robert Lefavour and sister Betty Jean Lefavour, he is survived by his niece Kimberly (Lefavour) Nason and husband Gerald, nephews: Keith Lefavour and Kyle Lefavour, niece Robin (Gray) Sessler and husband Mark, also several great nieces and nephews.
