ROCHESTER - Theresa M. "Terry" Ellis, 84, died Tuesday, August 26, 2014, at the Colonial Hill Center in Rochester after a brief illness.

Terry was born in Pittsfield, on August 22, 1930, the daughter of Alban and Antoinette (St. George) Ouellette and had been living in Rochester since 1969, moving from Pittsfield. She owned and operated her own catering service for 30 years and also made wedding cakes. In her younger years she started a women's softball league in Rochester.

Surviving member of the family include her husband of 51 years, Carroll Ellis of Rochester, four sons, Donald Brock J. of Rochester, Allen Brock of Milton, Robert Brock and his wife Susan of Wolfeboro, and Jon Ellis and his wife Shana of Rochester, one daughter, Joni Ellis and her husband Willie of Palma Alaska, one stepdaughter, Karen Sprague and her husband Ron of Rochester. She also leaves three sisters, Clair Miner of Pittsfield, Elise Sprague of Milton, and Cora Oppelt of Zephyrhills, Fla., as well as nine grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
