MILTON - With another sparse crowd in attendance as was last week for the town budget deliberative session, all warrant articles submitted by the Milton School Board passed on Saturday, sending a $11,208,360 school bill to voters for their approval or rejection in March.

The lone article that drew any sizeable debate was Article # 2, the operating budget of $9,844,284.84.

Town resident Les Elder made a motion to reduce it by 10 percent, to $8,859,823.96.

There was also an attempt to make a second change to the Operating Budget from Stan Nadeau, however, his attempt was ruled out of order and dismissed, since the discussion on the question had been closed, and a motion had been made and seconded to limit discussion.

The amendment was ultimately defeated by a vote of 18 to 16.

There also was some discussion regarding the $279,034.00 for leasing new computers, but the only amendment that passed was a minor housekeeping measure.

Minor discussion and questions on the remaining Warrant Articles left all warrant articles intact.
