DOVER, N.H. - A Rochester man has been indicted on heroin trafficking and possession charges.

John A. Fierley, 54, with a last known address of 14 Springfield Court, was arrested on Feb. 26 in Rochester with more than one gram of heroin in his possession, police say.

Fierly stands charge with possession of a controlled drug with intent to distribute, and possession. Both charges carry 20-year maximum sentences and $300,000 fines.

The Strafford County grand jury indictments were handed down on June 18 and released last week.

An indictment is not an indication of guilt, only that a grand jury has found sufficient evidence to warrant a trial.
