SANBORNVILLE, N.H. - The fourth annual ARFF Walk - Animals Raising Funds for Food - will be held Oct. 10 at 10:30 a.m. at Turntable Park on Meadow Street in downtown Sanbornville.

All funds donated will benefit the Wakefield Food Pantry. Every $1 donated to the Food Pantry will provide 3 meals to eligible recipients of the Pantry, so this Walk has the potential for being a significant source of funding.

Each pet walking can be sponsored by friends or family of the pet owner. The event is organized by the Episcopal Church of St. John the Baptist in Sanbornville.

The walk will start at Turntable Park and proceed to Poor People's Pub and back. Walkers without pets are welcome to walk as well. One of the ARFF's original poster pets, Lupey, an Irish Wolfhound, will be celebrated in memoriam this year after sadly dying of a devastating illness this summer.

The first three ARFF walks raised more than $10,000 or 30,000 meals for pantry recipients who look for assistance with food during these difficult economic times.

Pet owners can obtain sponsors who can send their pledged money to the Wakefield Food Pantry, PO Box 426, Wakefield, NH 03872 in addition to the pet owners. For more information or to obtain a Sponsor Sheet please send an email to Beth Hayes at beth_hayes@brewsteracademy.com or call 603-522-8077.
