ROCHESTER - A new custom frame shop has opened in Rochester.

Kris Ebbeson is the owner of RiverStones Custom Framing located at 33 North Main St. in downtown Rochester.

The store has been completely remodeled, she said, and is now open Tuesday to Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. or by appointment.

Ebbeson, formerly of the Ben Franklin Frame Shop and Franklin Gallery, said it was important to keep a frame store’s presence in Rochester.

“At Ben Franklin we met a lot of great artists and craftspeople, so we really saw how important a shop like this was,” Ebbeson said. “With the help of the former owners at Ben Franklin Crafts we are going to be able to pick up right where the Ben Franklin Frame Shop left off. Our customers will find the some skilled people, the same quality products, plus a few new surprises.

“And we couldn’t be more pleased with our new location. I think it will open up new opportunities for classes, art shows, as well as new products.”

RiverStones Custom Framing will be having special Grand Opening sales and special events from Aug. 14-23.
