ROCHESTER - The veteran Middleton, N.H., police officer charged with drunken driving after a crash in Milton in April had his trial date pushed back yet again this month.

A June trial date was also continued due to a possible conflict of interest concern with the presiding judge.

Sean Dolliver, a patrolman and 16-year veteran with the force, is now on unpaid leave from the department after initially being put on paid administrative leave after his arrest.

Selectmen changed it to unpaid leave several weeks afterward, said Middleton Police Chief Randy Sobel today.

His latest trial date was scheduled for Thursday in Rochester District Court.

Judge Susan W. Ashley normally presides at the Rochester District Court where the trial would be heard, but whether scheduling problems or some other issue caused this latest trial delay could not be immediately verified. As of today, there was no new date scheduled for trial.

Dolliver was involved in a rollover crash in the area of 323 Governors Road around 11 p.m. on April 28.

Police say Dolliver's vehicle took out a fence post and rolled over in a ditch.

Dolliver, who was alone in the car and uninjured in the crash, is facing his first DWI offense.
