A Lebanon man is free on $5,000 cash bail today after being charged with unlawful sexual touching and providing alcohol to a minor after police say he drove a 16-year-old Dover girl and her 13-year-old stepsister to Lebanon for an afternoon of four-wheeling, smoking pot and drinking on Saturday.

Donald St. Jean, 61, of 62 Upper Middle Road was arrested late Saturday by Maine State Police and booked at York County Jail in Alfred, where he came up with the bail money around 1 a.m. on Sunday.

WMUR-TV of Manchester first broke the story Sunday afternoon, reporting that police said St. Jean and the 16-year-old met on a dating site and had been corresponding for about a week before they met at the Woodman Park in Dover around 3:30 p.m.

Police said the girl had represented her age on the site as 20, and St. Jean had said he made a typo when he put on the site that he was 21 instead of 61.

St. Jean allegedly took the pair to his Lebanon home where he took them four-wheeling, smoked marijuana and gave them alcohol. Both teens also said St. Jean touched them inappropriately, according to the report.

The girls eventually left the home and walked about a mile to a convenience store, where they called 911.

They are said to have originally told officials they must have been drugged because they didn’t remember getting to the home, police said, but later retracted that statement.

The girls had no obvious injuries, according to police.

Dover Police Lt. Brant Dolleman said Dover Police will be continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident and assisting Maine State Police.

Maine State Police were immediately unavailable for comment today.
