Lebanon's Wyman honored for Frisbie volunteer work

ROCHESTER - Nancy Wyman of Lebanon, an all-star volunteer at Frisbie Memorial Hospital since 2004, and a longtime civil servant in her community, was awarded the 2014 Outstanding Auxilian/Volunteer Award for the New Hampshire Association of Hospital Auxiliaries & Volunteers. NHAHA is a statewide network of New Hampshire Hospital Auxiliaries and Volunteer Services Departments that meets twice a year to benchmark ideas and to further educate themselves on current healthcare concerns.

Wyman has been a team player in the Frisbie Memorial Hospital Day Surgery / Endoscopy Department twice a week since 2004. The surgical staff has only high praises for Wyman - her dedication, dependability, servant's heart and kindness. As well, Wyman is a current board member of the Frisbie Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, raising funds for important hospital initiatives including patient care services.

Regarding civic service, Wyman has been very involved in her community of Lebanon, Maine for many years. She has served as the first female selectman in her town and has served on the Planning Board, the Budget Committee. Wyman has also served as President of the Historical Society. She is a current member of the Dorcas Society, "Doer of good deeds" and the Community Ladies Circle (community projects), and is a member of the Southern Maine Garden Club.

Wyman is a role model for all who know her at Frisbie Memorial Hospital and the surrounding community. Her age does not stop her. Nancy loves serving her fellow man and will go out of her way to help with any need. She is an outstanding, generous individual and very deserving of recognition.
