TAMWORTH - Kyle Robert Matthews, 21, of Whittier Road, died on November 19, 2014, on Route 16 in Tamworth.

Kyle grew up in the Ossipee area, attending the local schools. He later moved to Rochester, to live with his grandparents where he graduated from Spaulding High School. Kyle is best known for his sensitive and caring demeanor. He enjoyed and loved all of his friends and family.

Kyle had an artistic ability which was a wonderful gift. Several of his art pieces can be seen at his family's homes which show his great talent. He was also an enthusiast for old and classic cars and trucks. He was a great problem solver and had the ability to do any task with very little training. Kyle enjoyed bicycles whether he was fixing them for himself or a friend or competing with them. While in school he created a competition for a group of kids to compete with their bicycles on a course that had been built. Even though the kids were competing, Kyle would stop to help a fellow friend during the competitions.

Kyle and his Grandfather had a wonderful memory together of the motorcycle ride they took from Rochester to Florida. When the two were returning from Florida, they made several stops along the way which Kyle mentioned regularly.

Kyle loved to go deep sea fishing on his Uncle Bill's big boat. He also loved the outdoors, hiking, fishing, and climbing mountains which he would never stop until he reached the tops. He was always very active and loved life, and more so now with his baby girl.

He was a member of the First Congregational Church of Rochester. One of the members of the church grew fond of Kyle, and would often take Kyle flying with him in his airplane.

Kyle is survived by his son Dominic and daughter Layla which he called her his "little peanut". He is also survived by his parents, Graham Matthews, Jr. of Rochester, and Tammy (Legault) Philibret of Ossipee. His grandparents, Graham and Zee Matthews Sr. of Rochester, Danielle Matthews of Manchester, Conn., Emile and Muriel Legault of Ossipee. His brothers, Brett Matthews of Meriden, Conn., Ezra Matthews of Ossipee, and Josiah Philibert of Tamworth. He is also survived by his Aunt Debbie and Uncle Bill Fredericks of Meriden, Conn., and numerous other Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.
